The Mamaku Roost is a large, unique, private & peaceful oasis with easy access/parking in a semi rural setting (but super handy location) 5 minute drive to town, train & beach. This modern three bedroom bach is a hop, skip and a jump from the Pororari River. It has a spacious deck with outdoor furniture so you can enjoy the spectacular 360 degree views of the bluffs, the river and the sea. Just 200 metres from Bullock Creek Road and one kilometre from Truman Track, you are within walking distance of some of the West Coast's best nature walks. We ask that you please not smoke anywhere on the premises as it destroys the clean, natural beauty of the Paparoa National Park.

Tasman West - on the beach!

Our home is 'on the beach' and is situated midway between Greymouth and Punakaiki. We offer a self contained unit on the ground floor of our home. The beach is just a few steps away and is great for walking. Punakaiki is 20 minutes from the house, Greymouth is also 20 minutes and Hokitika airport is a 50 minute drive to the south. Greymouth offers a range of eateries and there is a pub and hotel in Punakaiki. We are situated on state high way 6, which is well known for its spectacular scenery.

Our self contained open plan cabin offers a relaxing escape, with comfy beds, a full kitchen and spacious bathroom. The Cabin is only a short walk away to a secluded beach where mussels can be gathered, or you may be lucky and find a piece of greenstone. Soak in the outdoor hot tub, especially if you have done the Paparoa Track (pick up/drop off can be arranged at a competitive price, please enquire.) Snuggle up in front of the log burner fire in Winter. Continental Breakfast is included.

The Perfect Basecamp to Explore the West Coast

Situated at the foot of New Zealands newest Great Walk, The Paparoa Track, this recently refurbished 3 bedroom house is the perfect place to setup base camp to explore the best the West Coast has to offer. Lake Brunner is just a short 20 minute drive to explore the West Coasts largest lake. Greymouth is a handy 15 minutes by road to stock up on essentials and explore the town. The I-site is a great place to find information on the vast number of walks in the region for all levels of ability.

Ikamatua B &B - The accomodation is set in a rural garden overlooking the village of Ikamatua. The surrounding land is our own farmland. The surrounding rivers have excellent fishing. Great walks nearby. Good stopover when heading towards glaciers if heading south or north towards Nelson, Blenheim, or Picton. The local hotel in Ikamatua does great evening meals, this is only 5mins from accommodation.
