We want to offer visitors to Hobart a unique & luxurious accommodation experience, which connects modern design with its rugged, bush environment. Located in West Hobart, we are a short 8 minute drive to the Salamanca water front. Our 2 story house is nestled in a private bushy street, with amazing views of the Derwent River, South Hobart, Sandy Bay & beyond. The home is spacious and private, yet surrounded by (harmless) local wildlife. You will see many wallabies grazing on the property.

Using the shack as your base, no matter which direction you choose to venture, there’s an array of experiences and activities to explore, 20 min to Hobart Airport, 40 min to Hobart, gateway to Richmond, East Coast, Port Arthur and the Tasman Peninsula.

Shearers Hut

Slow down at this unique and tranquil getaway. A stylishly restored baltic pine hut that was the original Shearers Hut at Twamley Farm, in the days when shearing was done with hand shears and the season would stretch on for months. Situated at the end of the valley, the Shearers Hut boasts vistas of the densely forested rolling hills surrounding Twamley Farm. Get cosy by the wood fire or relax in the outdoor bath, breathing in the clean, crisp country air and soaking up the farm views.

Once known as Millingtons House, Sunways is a light-filled 1925 home just steps from the river and a short stroll to the ocean beach. With two spacious queen bedrooms, a fresh bathroom featuring Salus botanicals, and a sunroom made for lazy afternoons, it’s a place to slow down. Kick back and relax in one of three architecturally designed cabins in Tasmania’s Huon Valley. Created to inspire guests to disconnect from their everyday reality and surround themselves with a space in nature to take a deep breath. Many pieces within the cabins are handcrafted by local artists and furniture makers around the Huon Valley. Guests will be provided with local food and a bottle wine for the first night of your stay.
