Our yurt is privately located on a ten acre property with its own entrance and nestled up against national forest. A short creek trail right from your front door is for you to enjoy at your own risk! You’ll have the view of Ironside Mountain and the sound of the rushing Hennessy Creek while you’re soaking in an outdoor tub giving you that peaceful getaway feel. Fishing, kayaking, whitewater rafting, mountain biking and dirt bike riding are just some of what’s to offer in these rugged lands.

Exotic getaway in Sobrante hills

This is Mongolian traditional yurt when we married 40 years ago, our parents built it for us. It is located in our backyard about 90 feet from the street on the deck under pine trees. Path to the yurt has 12 steps and 15 degree up on some part of the deck. We have beautifully decorated, half around, eclectic full bathroom outside the yurt just 2 steps away. Yurt has low front door and low beds and seats. No tv, no wifi. It is out of your comfort zone! No human contact, self check in.

Welcome to Camp Earnest, a 21 acre former summer camp tucked into the Sierras in northern California, about 140 miles east of SF. You'll be staying in one of our brand new cozy yurts tucked into the trees and the hillside. Camp Earnest sits in a ponderosa, cedar and manzanita forest, with light snow in the winter and mild summers. We have a year round creek and hikes right off our property.
