Lakefront! Fish! Swim! Boat! Hike! Relax! Love dogs! Come stay on 25 acres of quiet (no car noise) Shangri-La with a private trout-stocked lake. You will have your own dock with use of boats and fishing rods. We have hiking trails around the property with a small mountain top (what a view!!). It is a boating and hiking paradise! This is a wonderful place to relax and restore yourself. Sit on the shaded deck or hang out on the sun-soaked dock and wonder what you have been missing in your life.

Heather Cottage - Beautiful Wetland Views

Charming small cottage situated on the edge of wetlands with beautiful views. Private gazebo with covered firepit and a dock over looking the large pond. Located on our 5 acre free range egg farm in Merville, BC. The pond is home to a family of beavers, bald eagles, blue heron and various birds. Private walking trail off the cottage and access to the One Spot Trail at the end of our private drive. We are 20 mins from downtown Courtenay and 10 mins to the Mount Washington turn off.

Farmstay is an old rural dairy farm. Note there is NO air conditioning only fans. Perfect for weddings, b'day celebrations etc, 15 amp p&w for 3 rvs (summer) $40 a night & lots of room to pitch a tent. Cottage is completely private & separate from main house. Breakfast included M-F. Weekend breakfast, vegetarian dinner, & massage are available upon request, before arrival, at extra cost.

The cottage does not have ocean view, however, the waterfront is only 30 meters away on our property.
