While not ideal for swimming, due to invasive grasses, enjoy quiet time relaxing on lawn swings, on your private balcony, or in the screened gazebo. There are kayaks available. A dock is available for use. In the winter skate or ice fish.

This 200-year-old farmhouse is in in the middle of a country village, close to The Long Trail and Sugarbush and Mad River ski areas. You will wake up to the sound of birds and the brook that runs next to the house. We are midway between Burlington and Middlebury, which offer many attractions of their own such as music and cultural events, shopping, and great restaurants. Your host is on site to be sure you are comfortable with amenities including a memory foam bed and fresh ground coffee.

The Yellow Farmhouse B&B ~ The Summer Room

About our lovely bed & breakfast The house was built in the late 1800s by one of the early Vermont families that originally settled the area during the 1700s. At its height, the family farm spanned nearly 400 acres with the farmhouse as its centerpiece. Over the years that followed, the farmhouse came to know a number of owners until we finally purchased the home in 2010 and have been lovingly restoring the home and its grounds ever since.
