Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Beautiful & Spacious Garden Entrance Suite

Lovely walk in walk out with private entrance, 500sqf one bedroom guest suite with 9 foot ceilings is bright and airy. This self contained one bedroom suite offers privacy and easy access. If you like cooking your own meals we have a mature herbs on the pathway to the suite that you are welcome to pick from for your meals. We provide coffee/tea/sugar/milk/yogurt/fresh fruit/museli/granola to ensure you have what you need for breakfast the day of arrival. We have a two night minimum stay.

You can enjoy the stellar views of Haro Strait and San Juan Island, as well as a chance to do some whale watching on your private patio. Our private suite is perfect for a weekend getaway or a longer stay. With our close proximity to the University of Victoria, Mount Douglas, dozens of beaches, and downtown Victoria, you are bound to find something to see and do every day of your visit.

Haro Sunset House

Winding through a Madrona forest hillside on the coveted Westside of San Juan Island, Haro Sunset House greets you with sweeping views from Vancouver Island to Salt Spring Island to the North. This home is known for its stunning views from the expansive deck and with amazing wildlife viewing. The home is near San Juan County Park for beach access and the iconic Lime Kiln Light House. The owner’s home is located next door, yet separated by two garage structures, leaving a feeling of seclusion.

Forest Hideout

Our tiny cabin is located on a 14 acres property in the middle of the woods. You will enjoy complete privacy and use of your own area on the land, including a pond. Located 2 min, from the Transcanada Trail, 20 min. walk to the Kinsol Trestle, a World Heritage Site with beautiful swimming holes right underneath the bridge. 20 min. to next Grocery store and 22-25 min to Duncan. Approx. 50 min- 1 hr to Victoria. Pottery lessons are available by request if you have always wanted to try it out.

Surrounded by nature in a peaceful residential community less than 30 minutes to downtown Victoria, with the conveniences of charming Sidney just 10 minutes away. For travelers or mainland commuters, Victoria International Airport and the Swartz Bay ferry terminal are just moments away. And outdoor adventures, by land or by sea, are outside your door with close access to water sports, hiking, biking, and running trails all waiting for you to discover the natural beauty of Vancouver Island.

We are located in beautiful Cordova Bay. The area is a favorite to locals and tourists. Cordova Bay has an expansive beach. We are a short 1 min walk to beach access and the Beach House Restaurant - closed, Mattick's Farm is a 1 km walk away. Mt Douglas trails and park is a short drive away. The guest suite is on the second floor of our house. It is spacious, fully equipped and has two private entries. There are beautiful views of the ocean, Mt Douglas, San Juan Islands and Mt Baker.

Unwind in your private suite with a walkout entrance on the lower level of our family home, nestled on 2 acres beside Elk Lake Park. Centrally located, we’re 15-20 minutes from the ferry, airport, and downtown, 10 minutes to Butchart Gardens, and 5 minutes to great hiking and biking. Nearby, you’ll find charming farms and restaurants. The closest bus stop is 2 km away. Your suite includes a fridge, microwave, Keurig, and kettle for basic meal prep. No smoking or scented products, please!

Enjoy a king sized bed and a loveseat for watching TV. The loveseat is not big enough to sleep. Pls inform me of any breakfast preferences.
