Our cabin is located 12 miles out of Franklin, NC near the Little Tennessee River. We are in easy traveling distance to whitewater rafting, kayaking both flat water and whitewater, fly fishing rivers, gem mining, zip lining, horseback riding, Deep Creek tubing, river tubing , The Appalachian Trail, hiking trails, waterfalls, Smoky Mountain Train excursions, Cherokee attractions/casino, Dollywood, Smoky Mountain National Forest, Blue Ridge Parkway, Elk viewings and Biltmore Estate in Asheville.

Nice furnishings. 7 miles to town of Franklin which offers shopping, restaurants, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, gem mining and more! Just bring your personal items, clothes and food! This cabin is close to Western Carolina University ( about 4 miles), Cullowhee, Sylva and Cashiers, NC. You’ll love this home because of the views, the coziness, woodburning fireplace, firepit, convenience and unique decorations ( I call it the museum in honor of my grandparents). In addition to two bedrooms, there are bunk beds in the loft for the kids. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).

Walnut Grove Farmhouse, a renovated 1930s era home, is a remnant of an old farm. We are situated on 17 acres of rolling hills with handsome views from the upper pasture along with a stand of 14 walnut trees. Sit a spell on the porch, listen to the trickling brook (a roaring brook when we get significant rain), the sound of birds, the sounds at night and maybe some turkeys will venture through. We are located midway between Franklin and Dillsboro, Sylva, Cullowhee.
