It is the PERFECT spot for summer lake fun, outdoor activities, ice fishing adventures, trail riding and more. Conveniently located within walking distance of the beach, playground, volley ball court, tennis court, boat launch, ice cream shop, state trails AND MORE! Located 3 mi. west of the small town of Frederic, Mi, & situated on 20 acres of land, this rustic log cabin provides a peaceful respite from the hectic pace of urban life. The property is bounded on 3 sides by the Au Sable State Forest. Situated in a relatively remote portion of the lower peninsula, guests are virtually assured a tranquil stay. Whether you seek a romantic get away with someone special, or a lively get together with friends or family, this place offers something for everyone.

Barn Studio Suite

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Once a barn for tack and hay, now a peaceful studio suite with all of the modern amenities, including a full bath, kitchen, and laundry. Play with goats or relax on the swing to watch cows & horses graze. Our animals are also pets and we welcome yours! Choose your adventure! Saddlewood Ranch is surrounded by trails, between 2 lakes (5 minutes), yet close to town and Camp Grayling. Whether you seek serenity or adventure, your get away awaits!

Houghton Lake Escape

Our vacation property escape is super comfortable. It includes all dishes, pans, utensils you'll need. This 2 bedroom sleeps 6 easily with a bunk room, comfortable new pull out bed in the living room sofa, and a master bedroom with full bed. Fully stocked w/10 cup coffeemaker. Air Conditioning in the primary bedroom and living room area. TV with Live TV and Internet. Washer and Dryer. Great area for ATVs and trails only blocks away!! The deck/porch is spacious, featuring chairs and lounges.

Enjoy all the lake has to offer in this adorable lake front cabin with amazing views! Watch the sunrise from the kitchen while you sip a cup of coffee. The sunsets from our beach can’t be beat. The beach is sandy with no sea wall & perfect for swimming! The beach and dock are shared with 3 other cabins. If you plan to bring a watercraft please inquire about space before booking or ask about our pontoon rental! If you need more than one cabin we may have another available. Inquire by message.

Iroquois Lakeview - the lake awaits you!

Welcome to our cozy cottage just across the street from Houghton Lake! Enjoy the nicest street on the lake, with lake views from the living room, dining room/kitchen, & the additional family room. Enjoy a glass of wine watching sunset from the large front deck and Amish seating. Lake access is a block away. Small boats may launch there. ORV trailhead is very close (we ride to the trailhead from the cottage), plus snowmobile trails, and state land. Public boat launch under 3 miles away.

South Shore Cottage Retreat

Centrally located cottage on the South Shore at Houghton Lake and 40 paces to your private dock access. Nearby restaurants, grocery stores, "mom and pop" shops, public DNR access, and other local attractions. The cottage is located in a private and quiet family setting where you can unwind. A perfect cottage for year-round adventures. In the summer, enjoy boating, fishing, and water sports. In the winter, cozy up inside after a day of ice fishing or snowmobiling. Welcome to the Love Shack! Our cozy little cottage is perfect for your relaxing getaway. Use it as a launchpad for your local adventure or just relax & decompress Immediate vicinity: Spikehorn Restaurant, party store, park, playground, pickleball courts, walk to lake 5-10 min drive: South Higgins Lake State Park w/boat launch & dog beach; Houghton Lake DNR boat launch, Markey Park w/dog park, playground, disc golf, fitness track 15 min drive: Sullivan Beach, plenty of dining & shopping

Rustic Log Cabin known as the Snowshoe Cabin

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place in the north woods. Cabin has 2 twin size beds in the loft and a full size bed on main floor. Includes Kitchen table and chairs and a kitchenette with a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, toaster and a crockpot. There is a bathhouse on site with hot showers and bathrooms. Close to ATV/Snowmobile Trails and you can ride from your site. You will need to provide your own bedding, pillows, towels, cooking utensils and shower items

Cousin Cottage

Kick back and relax in this tranquil, stylish space. Indoor fireplace, outdoor fire pit (with plenty of wood) and outdoor dining space. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need (small appliances, pots & pans, utensils, etc). Dining table with family games. Right across the street from the lake on the south shore. Located within walking distance to restaurants, stores, ice cream shop, etc. Half a block lake access for ice fishing and snowmobiling. No pets please.

Cozy cottage is a perfect place to get away and enjoy northern Michigan any season. Located in Houghton Lake, this cozy cottage sleeps 5, with room for you to play games, cook meals, and relax. It has a large yard and is located in a quiet neighborhood, yet close enough to many local shopping, food and activities. Just a short 10 minute walk to a nice public beach on Houghton Lake or 2 miles to launch your boat on the water. Just 4 miles to the ORV trailhead.

The Lookout is a fabulous lake home with breathtaking views directly on Michigan's largest inland lake. Both sunrise and sunset can be enjoyed inside through a wall of windows or outside on the beautifully landscaped patio. The open concept living space features a chef's kitchen with Viking stove, granite countertops and wine fridge. Newly remodeled bathroom with walk in shower. Master bedroom offers amazing views of the lake.
