The Cinnamon Cottage (Free Kayaking on Lake)

The Cinnamon Cottage is a beautifully located private cottage looking out on to the Bentota River. Situated at the bottom of a large garden full of fruit and spice trees, the cottage has a tropical modernist design, built using recycled timber and boasting an outdoor shower. Breakfast of fresh fruit, toast and tea is included in the room rate, and provided with a smile by the host's family, who are always on hand to help with whatever you need. Birds and lizards abound in the adjoining garden.

Our beach hut is a simple structure but the beach front gem. It is a single unit with huge garden. You can reach to Balapitiya easily by scenic coast line train from Colombo Fort Station or bus from Pettah terminal. It is also possible to go there directly from the airport. Please communicate well with host to let local gatekeeper know expected arrival time to be at the property. There is a indoor kitchen attached. You can walk out to miles of empty beach. Sweet dreams with ocean sounds!
