The cottage is situated on a family property, but feel free to enjoy the beautiful garden. We have two very friendly dogs who are not allowed in the cottage but have free range of the garden. If you don’t like, or are frightened of dogs, please consider carefully before booking.

Blackwood Studio

A modern and beautifully decorated house, nestled in Hout Bay, with magnificent views of the mountain. This is a great place for singles or a couple. There is a queen bed that sleeps up to 2. The staircase down to the house is steep so is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The oven/stove is gas, the hot water is gas, the internet is solar driven and we have 2 battery lights for guests use.

Sunbird cottage

Welcome to Sunbird Cottage, a free standing 2 bedroom unit. The cottage also includes a loft in the open plan area which is furnished with a queen sized bed. The main bedroom is also equipped with a queen sized bed and has its own shower/bathroom. The 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds. On the same property you can find Penguin and Porcupine Cottage. Our fully equipped and private garden cottage has a beach house feeling. It comfortably fits two sharing. Freestanding closed fireplace for cozy winter evenings. Situated on a quiet street steps away from St.James beach as well as a short walk to Kalk Bay and Muizenberg which is famous for its antique ships, coffee shops and restaurants.
