This fully renovated miners cottage is nestled amongst bush with amazing views, exuding history everywhere you look. Come and enjoy the ambience of a bygone era with a modern twist. Located in the heart of the Karangahake Gorge, you will find an abundance of activities which include Owharoa Falls, the Victoria Battery, walking or cycling the 1km disused rail tunnel and the Windows Walk is a must! Grab a bean bag and a book,sit in the bush or on the bush edge and allow nature to nurse you and relax.

Your apartment will be a stylish 2 b/room apartment, the renovation of the owner's accommodation in an old dairy. You will be a - 5-minute walk to the Coastal Walkway - sunsets over the Hunua Ranges and the historical Burke Street Wharf; - stone's throw from the "Goldmine Experience"; - 10-minute walk to Kuranui Bay; - 10-minute walk to the cafes and Thames Market on Saturday mornings. For cyclists the Coastal Walkway takes you to the Wharf Cafe and access to the Hauraki Rail Trail.

Self-contained Studio in the corner of our yard.

This studio is tucked away in the corner of the property a long deck separates it from the house. It has 2 x beds, 1 single and 1 x king single, a separate bathroom with shower and toilet. There is a kettle with tea/coffee available, a toaster, a fridge and a microwave. It's a small no frills space that is tidy, quiet with a lovely rural view from the window. It has no WIFI or TV(can you survive!) Parking is close by and safe but you do have to walk about 30m across lawn to access it. Uncovered.

The Guesthouse in our front yard is down a 'right of way' (perfect for stargazing) & is 30 m's from our house. Native trees, brings you privacy & an enclosure of a tropical garden makes you feel like you're in the tropics.

The Masters Chambers In the Country

This Lockwood cabin/studio offers an “Eagles” inspired theme on our quiet 10 acre block, located in Katikati. Waihi and Waihi Beach are a 15 minute drive away, and it is a 35 minute drive to Tauranga. You also have the opportunity to pushbike or walk some popular tracks in this area, which are a short drive away. This cabin has lovely rural views, so it’s a perfect 1 or 2 night getaway to enjoy some R & R! And remember "You can check out any time you like, but you may never want to leave!"

Hereford Cottage

Welcome to our private romantic getaway at Hereford Cottage. Located in Whakatiwai, north of Kaiaua with a backdrop of the Hunua ranges. We absolutely love living here and thought we would like to share one of our favourite places with others. We offer a beautiful one-bedroom cottage with a lovely outdoor wood fire tub and a romantic little area with a firepit, nestled in a natural setting with views of a stream, native bush and native birds. Enjoy a night or a couple of nights here with us.

Relax in the Garden Suite

Nestled in the Kauaeranga Valley, our ground level Garden Suite; living, bedroom and ensuite is ready for you. A shared entrance leads to your private wing. The kitchenette has a toaster, jug, microwave and fridge. Homemade muesli, tea and locally roasted coffee provided. The comfortable bed has quality linen. 4kms along the road is the Coromandel Forest Park, DOC Centre, the superb Pinnacles walk, and great swimming holes. Enjoy the starry nights. A trundler bed or portacot are available.

Tranquil Puriri, Thames

Enjoy a cosy, private guesthouse located behind our home with it's own West facing deck (with BBQ) that has an expansive countryside view. We have the Hauraki Rail Trail on the doorstep, and beyond, bush walks/treks, and the beautiful Coromandel East Coast beaches. The guesthouse can comfortably accommodate 3 guests - couple in main bedroom - 1 guest in single bedroom. Please note: an extra guest fee of $25 per night applies for any guest using the single bedroom - including children.
