Enjoy a visit to our summer home in Oak Park. It's a 1 mile drive through our historic neighborhood to downtown Ferndale. A 2 bed 1 bath built in 1930 was fully remodeled in 2020, including the addition of AC. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do when we come home to work remotely near family twice yearly. Enjoy the fully stocked kitchen; we love to cook! But make sure to take advantage of all the bars and restaurants in Ferndale. If traveling with the pup, there's a large fenced-in yard.

A fully stocked kitchen, an additional pull-out couch as an emergency-sleeper and two bedrooms upstairs. A movie room with 4k projector (120" screen size) and Dolby Atmos sound system, laundry in the basement and a fenced-in backyard with seating area. Centrally located in Hazel Park we hope will enjoy your stay with us!

Historic carriage house with gated parking & patio

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. You'll have a private space in a detached historic carriage house, sharing a yard with the host. We have a large yard with a patio near the carriage house, covered porch, grill, bbq pit, bocce court, and outdoor living room (summer). We have a dog that has yard access. Private, secured parking is available for 1 car. Families are welcome, as are pets. We recommend families 3+ contact us before booking to ensure the space will work for you.

Sky Carriage House: Light, Bright, Corktown Escape

You'll be staying in our newly constructed carriage house at the back of our property in the heart of Corktown - Detroit's oldest historic neighborhood. This private dwelling is accessed from the back alley entrance and offers high ceilings and a panoramic view of downtown and the surrounding neighborhood. The unit features 1 bedroom/1 bath, living, dining, laundry and a full kitchen. In warmer months a small cafe seating area is situated on the spanish rock drive along the green alley.

Bordering aesthetically between steampunk chic and bohemian chill the home is filled with handmade furniture, art and a variety of features and comforts meant to both relax the body and satisfy the mind. From handcrafted silver knobs, custom built beds, lamps and other features everything was carefully built or imported from our various travels. Truly too many unique elements to list. This cozy 1 story, 2 bedroom 1 bathroom bungalow has been recently renovated (2022) with all new appliances and updated finishes. A short walk to downtown Ferndale is where you’ll find plenty of shops, restaurants, coffee houses and bars. Downtown Detroit is 11 miles away and a quick 15 minute drive. Our home is perfect for couples, small families, business travelers and LGBT travelers. The large fenced backyard is perfect for your house trained dog.

Located in one of Hamtramck’s historic neighborhoods, this apartment features vintage charm, including an original clawfoot soaking tub and the character of a century-old home. Please note: this is a second-floor apartment accessible by stairs only. The bathroom features a traditional, historic clawfoot tub with a high step-in and no walk-in shower. Guests with mobility concerns should consider whether the space will comfortably meet their needs.
