Wind Cave 17 mi. Adjacent to the Mickelson Trail and minutes from hundreds of miles of Black Hills National Forest trails. Wildlife is abundant in the Southern Hills, including deer, turkeys and elk. Or just sit back and relax as you watch the horses graze in the pasture or take in the endless night sky.

Get away to nature (with style and a unique stay)....goulay. not for non-outdoorsy as there is only a half bathroom outhouse, no running water (you get to port it in, great spring pump at nearby Englewood trail-head on Mickelson and running stream for a dip at bottom of hill), no electricity, and a great little wood stove. A quaint house built in the 1920's, filled with Gramma's charming furniture and cowgirl memorabilia. It is in a small town quiet neighborhood three blocks from the World Famous Mammoth Site, a ten minute walk from historic downtown Hot Springs with Evans Plunge Natural Hot Springs, 15 minute walk from renowned Moccasin Hot Springs and area restaurants. It is very convenient to Wind Cave National Park, Angostura State Park and Lake, Custer State Park and all Black Hills attractions.

Guest will sent up their own tent at Broken Arrow Campground. Campsites are tucked beneath the pine trees close to the nicest shower house and restrooms around. Only 3 sites are available for tent camping which adds to the peace and quiet of our campground. Enjoy the sounds of horses stabled close by. Four miles from the town of Custer and situated in the center of all the Black Hills attractions . This location is the best starting point for all your South Dakota adventures.
