We find guests who truly enjoy our place are flexible with rustic conditions (not looking for Holiday Inn Express) and young at heart!

This 4 bedroom 2 bath home is located next to chutes and ladders located on portage canal next to Houghton beach, Chutes & Ladders, and Houghton public docks. Home is a short walk to Michigan Tech and historic downtown. There are two kayaks and 2 bikes available for you to use and explore the canal or downtown. We love dogs and do welcome them but do charge extra. Please send me any questions. Auto booking opens 1 year in advance. please do not send a request earlier.

We are approximately 4.8 miles from the Dollar Bay Snow Mobile Trailhead, Great snowshoeing around the property as well. cottage is on a shared driveway with owners. Otter House is a beautifully appointed log cabin in the trees overlooking Otter Lake. It is comfortably furnished with a well equipped kitchen. The lakefront has a small beach, 3 kayaks, a canoe, hammocks and a fire pit. Otter Lake is a tranquil spot with great fishing and very little boat traffic. There is a parking pad for your RV or trailer. *Please note that the entry is on the basement level and the main living area is up a flight of stairs.

Instant snowmobile access to the lake in winter. Air conditioning in summer and 2 wall furnaces for warmth in winter. What it doesn't have: Oven, automatic dishwasher, laundry facilities.
