One mile off the popular NC500 tourist route, our two pods and a Shepherd's Hut offer peace and quiet in an idyllic location with some amazing sunrises, sunsets and starry skies.

The Old Smiddy, Huna, John O'Groats

Close to the village of John O' Groats and on the North Coast 500, the Old Smiddy (an old blacksmith's cottage) has been beautifully restored into a modern home, while keeping many of its original features. The cottage sleeps 4 people in 2 double bedrooms (both en-suite) and has a fold-away camp bed for use by a small child. The cottage offers beautiful sea views across the Pentland Firth to the Orkney Islands and is the perfect base for exploring Caithness, Sutherland and Orkney.

This converted building in the picturesque village of Melvich has been recently renovated and has amazing sea views including the Orkney islands! Offering WiFi, television, and off-road parking for one car. Also, with the new addition of a woodburning stove, you will certainly not be cold! Ideally situated for exploring the north of Sutherland and Caithness, this area is popular for walking, fishing, surfing, golfing and has one of the most beautiful beaches in the area!

Hillside Camping Pods - Stroma Pod - NC500

Stroma Pod is situated next to Morven Pod in the rural village of Auckengill in Caithness five miles south of John O'Groats. Stroma Pod has sea and countryside views. The shower block is just a few steps away and Stroma Pod has it's own shower, toilet and sink within the block so no shared facilities! All bedding and towels are provided as well as complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, milk and breakfast cereals. One small or medium size dog is allowed. We do not have WiFi.

A fantastic base to explore the North of Scotland, whether you are touring the NC500, relaxing in the quiet wilderness of Caithness, doing a spot of fishing, shooting, walking, cycling... the choices are endless like the views!

Berriscue House is a beautiful, bespoke cottage - located in the centre of Thurso, hidden away from the world with a large walled garden and private entrance. Five minute walk from the beach. The Victory Baywood is a beautiful holiday home with double glazing and central heating. The main bedroom has full size king size bed with en suite toilet and hand basin. The twin room has full size single beds and there is also a pull out double bed in the lounge. The shower room has a large shower with toilet and hand basin. The spacious open plan kitchen and lounge area is equipped with full size cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and smart tv.
