A nostalgic stay in gramma’s house.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. An old but charming country style house in town. The neighborhood is very quiet and close to downtown. Remember, this is a nostalgic stay in gramma's house. Gramma did not have any king or queen size beds. There is one bedroom downstairs, and two upstairs. The stairs going up are a little steep and narrow. See pictures. We will have snacks in the kitchen for your enjoyment along with fixings for your first mornings breakfast.

This early 1900’s home has been totally renovated and has a warm cozy feeling. Natural woodwork and floors are throughout the home with a modern kitchen and appliances. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer on the upstairs level with a table to fold your items on. Every room is decorated with Dorothy’s Ruffled Original curtains.

Built in 1870s with Italianate architecture this beautiful stately brick house has large French windows and original wood floors The house is a step into history with modern updates to make guests feel right at home. Relax upstairs in a large jacuzzi tub. Enjoy grilling on the front porch area and enjoy the park a block away and downtown just three blocks with eateries and shopping downtown.

Prairie View Cottage is a cozy country getaway in rural north-central Iowa, with peaceful farmland views and beautiful morning and evening light. This thoughtfully updated cottage retains its original character and features 2 bedrooms plus a Murphy bed in the living room for 3 sleeping spaces. The interior is guest-ready and welcoming, while the exterior is still being lovingly restored.

You won’t forget the peaceful surroundings of this rustic destination. Take some quiet walks and find some solitude. Enjoy kayaks on the river or the pond. and a tiny space to relax. Trials avaliable for UTV, ATV or bring your horse.. King size loft for able climbers. 2 bunk beds for the smaller framed. Horse rides available upon request.
