Hekluhestar cottage at the farm

Take it easy in this tranquil accommodation in our farm, with a peaceful view ! The cottage can welcome up to 6 people, although 4 is the most comfortable. Nicely located, it is about one hour by car from Reykjavik, from the Golden circle and from Vík's black sand beaches. It is 15min away from Hella's bus station, which allows you to visit Lanmannalaugar. The farm has animals roaming around, and also offers riding tours. Its owners are always happy to share a lovely riding experience !

The "Old house" is in the center of evrything on Southwest part of Iceland. You have Geysir and Gullfoss about 40min away, the Seacret lagoon 10min, Laugarás lagoon is 20min and Friðheimar 35min away. The national park Þingvellir is about 45min from us. Mt.Hekla is in plain sight and the river Hvítá, glaiserriver from the waterfall Gullfoss runs by the house.

My place is close to The Golden Circle and the Highlands. The place has picturesque view. You can see Hekla, Eyjafjallajökul, Langjökull through the windows of the cottage. Closed to the cottage is Skálholt church, one of Iceland´s most important historic sites. You’ll love my place because of the comfy bed, the coziness, the kitchen, the hot tub. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. Only 2 km to Health service. If you have back problems we have a soft mattress for you.

Approximately 50 kilometres outside of Reykjavik, more precisely, in Hvalfjordur is a little cottage located right by the ocean shore. It is ideal for 1 or 2 persons and the highlight of the stay will most likely be the outside geothermal shower with a mountain view. During the darkest months, can you imagine to take a shower under the Northern lights? Well that is possible! This cabin is not suitable for children and infants.
