Your suite with breakfast in the heart of Orkney

Welcome to Heima - Norse for 'at home'. Guests have exclusive use of their own entrance, bathroom, relaxing bedroom and own garden. The separate Breakfast Room has panoramic views. From 18.00-22.00, it is available for carry-in meals with the Sitting Room which has a log fire. Heima is a 19th Century cottage with a 21st Century extension. Cosy cottage by the sea

Relax at this peaceful cosy cottage right in the heart of The Palace village in the beautiful parish of Birsay where nature and history are right on your doorstep. Watch seals play in the bay a few steps from the cottage beside the imposing ruins of the historic Earls Palace. Just a short walk away you can cross the tidal path to the Broch of Birsay and spot a puffin or two! The cottage is situated at the end of the 1st leg of The St.Magnus Way and the start of the 2nd.
