In the West mainland area called Evie, we are around 20 minutes’ drive from both Kirkwall and Stromness which are the two main towns on the mainland Orkney. Along with this there is the opportunity to explore the surrounding countryside with a range of coastal and local footpaths where you will see an array of birds and wildlife

Relax at this peaceful cosy cottage right in the heart of The Palace village in the beautiful parish of Birsay where nature and history are right on your doorstep. Watch seals play in the bay a few steps from the cottage beside the imposing ruins of the historic Earls Palace. Just a short walk away you can cross the tidal path to the Broch of Birsay and spot a puffin or two! The cottage is situated at the end of the 1st leg of The St.Magnus Way and the start of the 2nd.
