Built in 2023. Our A-Frame style home is located on thirty acres of maple, oak, pine & sassafras rising out of a blanket of ferns set in the Manistee National Forest. Over a mile of well maintained hiking trail winds through the woods. This peaceful setting is only a 20-minute drive to downtown Ludington & Lake Michigan. Hosting adults only, no children or pets permitted inside the A, which is designed by a couple to create a perpetually quiet and relaxing place for other couples and ourselves.

This cozy rustic A frame cabin, boasts 3 queen beds, 1 bathroom and a spacious living area. The kitchen is fully stocked to make cooking a breeze. Outside you'll find a bonfire pit and a charcoal grill. Directly across the road is the Lincoln Hills trail system which connects to thousands of acres of scenic trails. Welcome to Hersey Hideaway, the perfect place to relax on the Muskegon River! Get on the river, soak in the luxurious hot tub, stargaze, or enjoy evenings by the fire. In the summer, access a detached bunkhouse, blackstone grill, and plenty of outdoor seating! Explore biking and hiking the White Pine Trail or enjoy ORV trails. Big Rapids is a 25 min drive for restaurants, groceries, & breweries. Plenty of amazing day trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, Caberfae, and Lake Michigan!

Peaceful & Cozy Private Living Space- Pond View

You will have the entire basement-- two bedrooms, bathroom, small kitchen area, & living room-- to yourself. We are in a wooded setting a couple of miles from town. You'll be able to enjoy your own patio entrance (pond view) with access to a firepit. We are close to the White Pine Trail. We think you'll find the space peaceful & cozy. There is a stairway to the upstairs, but it is curtained off and covered with foam board for privacy. You will have the entire floor & entrance to yourself!

Welcome to our cabin! Enjoy this 3 bedroom, 1 bath cabin in the woods adjacent to the Manistee National Forest. The perfect place to enjoy rest, relaxation and the great outdoors! 3 Bedrooms includes a Queen size bed, a Full size bed and 2 Twins (bunk bed) Within riding distance to ORV and snowmobile trails. Pere Marquette River and Manistee River are both within 20 minutes for salmon & steelhead fishing. The Little Manistee River is less than 5 minutes for trout fishing.

Little Cabin in the Woods

Little Cabin in the woods surrounded by State and Federal land, snowmobile, ATV and bike trails. Quick 30 mins drive to beautiful Lake Michigan. Cabin is heated in the winter and air conditioning in the summer. Kitchen has dishes and a coffee pot for that fresh first cup. The Cabin is rustic and sets in the woods and is visited by nature. The local residents are deer, bear & squirrels. No WiFi(yet), but we have two TVs with local channels. Fire Pit and outside grill.

The bedroom features a queen-sized bed, the living area is furnished with a daybed plus two recliners, and a queen size air mattress is avail. Guests often opt for cooking outdoors on the open flame or under the griddle patio shelter. The firepit is wonderful for making memories under the stars. From this cabin you won't need to trailer your toys to the trailhead. An off-road adventurers dream.
