The Summer Kitchen

The Summer Kitchen is a restored building on our historic farm place. This open-concept space has a kitchen with a gas stove, and bottled water. 2 Beds are upstairs in a loft area. We are a real farm, no curtains on windows here! Nestled along the edge of the farm yard with a wooded area & trail. Propane-heated shower, and boat toilet. A farm experience can allow guests to help feed animals, gather eggs, or work in the garden, please ask. Deck/Firepit/seating with firewood nearby.

𝙎𝙀𝘾𝙇𝙐𝘿𝙀𝘿 & 𝙋𝙀𝘼𝘾𝙀𝙁𝙐𝙇 The Cornfield Country House is a newly remodeled 2600 square foot five bedroom, two bathroom farm house located in Westcentral Minnesota situated in the middle of a 640 acre. Located between Madison, Appleton, Milan, Dawson, Bellingham & Louisburg Minnesota. There are several attractions nearby, some of which include; Lac Qui Parle Lake, Appleton OHV/ATV Park & Lac Qui Parle County State public hunting ground.

Little Mill Road House

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. You can jump on a bike or take a walk on the tarred path located right across the road that leads into the Big Stone Refuge. Ortonville has Big Stone Lake great for fishing and our area is also awesome for hunting. We do allow pets but if left by themselves in the house please kennel them. There is one bedroom with a queen size bed and a murphy bed and futon in the living room. Plenty of parking for boats, trailers, etc.

The open concept boasts beautiful lakefront views from the kitchen and living areas. Enjoy the comfort of the fireplace, dinner on the lakefront deck, a ride in the paddle boat or stoke up a bonfire as you listen to the waves on the shore and fish off the dock. Public boat ramp is directly next door for easy access to the lake.

This has been a wonderful undertaking, preparing my rental house into an Airbnb. I saw lots of potential and need for guests to be able to have a clean, comfortable and super private, spacious living space for their stay while out and about on whatever they might be doing, whether it be visiting with family, out hunting, or on their road trip just exploring what Western Minnesota has to offer!

Adorable one bedroom cottage with an additional full-size sofa sleeper. Year-round rental house located on the inside of the peninsula. Because the Cozy Cottage is located on the inside of peninsula, there is no direct access to the lake; however, there is a public dock and lake access approximately two blocks away. Big Stone Lake has something for everyone.
