Our Handcrafted Home is a private home situated in Choglamsar Village, a suburb of Leh in a calm residential area with plenty of greenery. We are away from the buzz in Leh but still very close with 7km to Leh. We started building this house in 2019 with the idea to create a space which feels part of the land it is built on and in harmony with the ecosystem of Ladakh. We love cooking for our guests so dinner and breakfast are included if you wish and love to listen stories of guests.

Donskit Guesthouse is an eclectic mix of traditional Ladakhi and Western styles, filled with the love, laughter and warm food of the family that runs it. It is a few minutes drive away from the main attractions of the city, such as the Main Market, Hall of Fame and Shanti Stupa. Your host also has a car that can pick up and drop you off to the airport at a nominal fee. OUR WHOLE FAMILY IS VACCINATED

The interiors are done according to ladakhi tradition ,from June to September lots of flowers around the place, a purely organic garden . In the month of October you’ll enjoy the sunlight but little cold in morning and evenings . January and February you ‘ll see the snow if you are lucky . Deluxe Room | Chalung House

The building in which the homestay is, had been built in traditional Ladakhi style, the floors are wooden & ceiling is also made in the traditional Ladakhi style- with tree trunks. Some of the rooms have best view of the mountains specially Stok glacier. ( 6150 meters above sea level). Outside the building there is farm in which we grow green-spinach, bokchoy, brocolli, cauliflower, cabbage, potato, tomato etc. we practice organic farming since 2009.

You won’t want to leave this central yet quiet farm house, located just next to tissuru stupa and just a lesiurely walk from Shanti stupa. The house has a commanding view of the whole leh town. We welcome guests/ families who prefer some local cultural experience. Perfect place of you are driving into leh and want some peace and quiet. Additionally there are Doctors on the property which sometimes is important at this high altitude place.
