Our spacious deck overlooks the lake with built-in seating. Kayak or paddleboard, chill around the propane fire pit or cuddle up inside with the woodstove (supplemental, cabin has a forced air furnace!) 2 bedrooms, small room has a King bed, larger room has 2 Queen beds. Get ready to RELAX, you're on lake time!

The views from the large windows and deck are stunning. Try some fishing, skating, kayaking, swimming or walk the trails. Grilling on the deck or a bonfire ( ask for firewood) overlooking the lake are great evening activities. Not the outdoor type, you’ll find this a peaceful place to unwind. Located 13 miles from Wasilla makes this spot ideal as your hub to exploring Alaska. We are happy to host your pets(dogs only) pets not allowed in any beds. Excessive pet hair will be charged $50.

A small cabin built like a studio apartment. Very roomy and homey — quaint, quiet and simple. There’s a garden with fresh greens and herbs for your enjoyment and world class hiking and skiing within 10 minutes. Palmer and Wasilla are 15 minutes away. There’s a large parking area and shed with fun outdoor gear to use, as well as a wood burning cedar sauna. Though we ask that you request/message before using it. Want pets? We are surrounded by the Talkeetna and Chugach mountains on Gooding Lake; this central location is north on the Trunk Rd between Palmer and Wasilla, and close to Hatcher Pass, and Matanuska Glacier This quiet retreat has 5G, a FULL kitchen, laundry and is perfect for refreshing yourself in Alaska. Gooding Lake has a small sandy beach and float plane access. The canoe & kayaks are free to use.. Guests must walk up a full flight of steps.

Lakefront Rustic Log Cabin Glamping, Near Big Lake

Rustic Lakefront log cabin with a private outdoor steam room on a quiet, non-motorized lake near the Big Lake recreation area and on the way to Denali. Warm up in the steam room after a day of exploring. Kayak and paddle boat right from the dock (June–September), firepit, and watch for moose, cranes, and swans passing through the yard. Kitchen with bar seating, private lake access, and peaceful nature all around. Sleeps 5 comfortably, up to 7.

In winter, you'll be close to Hatcher Pass, Skeetawk Ski Area, and all the winter recreation opportunities available in the area.

15 miles north of Anchorage our property is 4 acres of woodlands with a view of the mountains and frequent visits from Alaska wildlife. We live within 5 miles of 7 different public access lakes & are between Anchorage & the Matanuska Susitna Valley. There is additional off street parking for a boat and/or RV.

The Johnson House Cabin

A comfortable, cozy, private and secluded cabin for up to two guests. Our cabin is overlooking the Knik River Valley and Knik Glacier and offers spectacular views. The cabin is located a moderate 250 step hike from our parking area including two outdoor sets of steps so, self check-in is not an option.
