Enchanting Woodsy Getaway: Cozy Cabin

Cozy Cabin in Hvalfjörður (Whale fjord). A great spot to enjoy nature and the beautiful northern lights, still close to the city and all major attractions in south-west Iceland. The cabin is located in the north of Hvalfjörður in the hill Fornistekkur, facing the south with beautiful surroundings and Mt Brekkukambur at the back. In the cabin you'll be able to enjoy the quiet nature close to some of the main attractions and still reach Reykjavík in only 40-50 minutes. Close by you will find great hiking trails, for example to the second highest waterfall in Iceland Glymur, mere 10-15 minute drive away, to Síldarmannagötur and Mt Þyrill 5-8 min away. Hvammsvík's Hot Springs are just on the other side of the fjord, approx 20 min drive and guests in my cabin will get 15% discount there. Þingvellir national park is within an hour away and from there you can visit the Geysir and the Golden Circle among others in the south. In the west there are many wonderful attractions like Snæfellsjökull glacier, located at the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. The Peninsula is loaded with many attactions, like Arnarstapi, Djúpalónsandur, Hellnar, Kirkjuflell (the most photographed mountain in Iceland) and so on. In a walking distance from the cabin you might be able to pay a visit to our friendly Icelandic horses or have a walk on the beach where you might see seals. During winter (when it's dark) you'll have the opportunity to enjoy the northern lights, just outside in the hot tub or on the patio. Kirkjuland is a small farm just 10km north of Reykjavik, on Kjalarnes. Located under the beautiful mountain Esja. Peaceful and cozy.. We can host 2 persons at our facility. Fantastic view over the Reykjavik area. We are close to many beautiful places you would want to visit; like Thingvellir national park, Glymur the highest waterfall in Iceland, Húsafell , Krauma, Giljaböð natural bath places, etc. All photos of the northern lights taken in our garden! Outdoor swimming pools very close by.

Hraðastaðir Horse riding & Farm

Studio apartment located on a farm only 20 minutes from Reykjavík!:) on the way to the golden circle which offers room for two people. Come and stay at our farm and visit our wonderful animals and/or get fresh egg from our chickens in the morning to cook in the apartment. There are also fun experiences around our farm such as a lot of beautiful hiking trails, horse riding and more. It's a very good location to plan day trips from. If there are northern lights you can see right outside the door.

Public transport to Reykjavik (bus). What charms people with the property is bright and entrance on the ground floor. Couples, business travelers enjoy themselves in the property.

Spectacular place´ Wake up to the ocean dancing, birds singing and seals right outside your window. Approximately 50 kilometres outside of Reykjavik, more precisely, in Hvalfjordur is a little cottage located right by the ocean shore. Welcome to the newly renovated farmhouse in Esjuberg, where you sleep by the roots of the mountain. This house truly has it all, from a beautiful ocean view, horses in the backyard, and a phenomenal view over Reykjavik. Esjuberg plays a big part in a very interesting Icelandic Viking story called the Kjalnesinga Saga. In this story, a woman named Esja lived here along with her foster son Búi, who became a very mighty man.
