This unique, 100yr old beachside cottage is named for the Kōtare (kingfishers) that make the cliffs their home. All are welcome here! Once in the cottage looking out to sea, you’ll feel miles from the city yet downtown is just a 10 minute drive away. Located right above a semi-private beach you can enjoy the view from your deck, or simply step down to the sand.

The studio with HRV ventilation, heatpump and double glazing is ideal for solo travellers, couples with or without one small child. Please note that our downstairs studio has a low ceiling (1.98m high) and we don’t have a full kitchen. Breakfast: Tea/Coffee (Nespresso Machine)/Cereal and milk included.
