The beautiful surf beach of Mermaid is practically on the doorstep. Along the way and almost as close are two premium eateries, Le Café Gourmand and Little Mermaid. The 700 bus along the Gold Coast Highway offers direct transportation services to Coolangatta, Tugun, Currumbin, Burleigh Heads, Miami, Mermaid and the Broadbeach South station is in front of Pacific Fair Shopping Centre. The G:Link light rail, also located at the Broadbeach South station directly in front of Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, will easily and quickly transport you to the most popular areas of Broadbeach, Surfers Paradise and Southport. If you are travelling from Coolangatta Airport Mermaid 24 is about 25 minutes via Taxi/Uber or by Bus take Number 777 to the Mermaid Beach stop. Mermaid 24 is located within an original 1960's apartment complex on the beachside of Mermaid Beach, being at the back of the complex you have access to the beach via the back easement. Spend the afternoon exploring nature and the walking trails and then cosy up by the fireplace at night. It's possible to hike to the top of Bally Mountain. With multiple trails, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the area. This unique two-storey, two-bedroom house is equipped with every possible amenity to make your stay a comfortable and memorable one. A coffee shop and general store is within strolling distance, with Robina town centre 12 minutes away. No public transport, so a car is required. The 18 metre pool with 2 metre deep swim out is suitable for lap swimming and water games. Off street parking available. Guests have access to entire house. Walk to excellent restaurants and cafes, supermarkets, a health food store, bakery and surf shops. Nearby Lake Ainsworth is an ideal place for picnics and bush walking. Paddle board at the lake and in the ocean. Excellent surfing opportunities. Byron Bay is a 20-minute drive north. Ballina is a 10-minute drive south. Beach walks, swims in the ocean and whale watching between June and September are fabulous. Ballina/ Byron Airport is 15 minutes by car. Byron Bay is 20 minutes by car. 5 minute stroll to the village for restaurants and general facilities. 2 minute walk to beach and board walk. The ocean view from the covered deck is along 7 Mile Beach to Broken Head. Whale watching between May-September is breathtaking. Equipment for children's activities provided include bikes, body board, sand toys, snorkels and goggles. Beach towels, chairs and umbrellas supplied.

We're happy to assist with any arrangements, including tips around the local area, things to do, where to go and best places to eat. South Golden Beach is a quiet village in the Byron Bay Shire, just minutes drive away from Brunswick Heads, Mullumbimby and Bangalow and Byron Bay itself. Great children's playground, skate ramp, cafe and beach entrance and festivals bus stop just down the road.
