We are the Black Friar Inn and Pub. This is room 2 on our 2nd floor. It has a private bath and the ceiling of the bathroom was once a trolley car’s ceiling. The stained glass windows give the room a rosy Medieval glow. With two comfortable chairs and a fireplace, this room has it all. We are a B&B so breakfast is included with your stay. Red Oak is nestled at the top of our Bar Harbor bed and breakfast, and features its own private “tree house” deck. From here, you can sit among the maple treetops and enjoy your coffee or a cold drink, reflect upon your day, and gaze across the neighborhood to the bell tower of St. Saviour on Mount Desert Street. This 3 bedroom apartment occupies the second floor of the Freedom House Bed & Breakfast main house. Two of the bedrooms have a queen size bed, and one has a king size bed. The apartment has a comfortable living room with cable tv, and a fully equipped eat in kitchen. The bathroom has a claw foot tub/shower combination (and obviously a sink and toilet, lol!) *PLEASE BE AWARE THE STAIR CASE IS STEEP BY TODAYS STANDARDS AS THE HOUSE WAS BUILT IN 1888.
