Escape to a lovingly reimagined modern A-frame home on the Burley Lagoon beachfront. Hot tub in a wooded sanctuary or wander down to your private beach and enjoy the clear waters filled with marine life. Kayak along the protected waters of the lagoon or adventure to Henderson Bay. The half-acre property has ample opportunities for play and exploration. The orchards and ponds offer a mix of manicured and wild landscapes. Keep an eye out for the bald eagles and other birds diving for fish nearby.

Property's location adds convenience: minutes to I-5 and JBLM (McChord AFB & Fort Lewis), restaurants, grocery & public lakes. Nearby local parks are American Lake North, Steilacoom Lake, Fort Steilacoom, and Harry Todd Parks; Thornwood Castle & Lakewold Gardens are close as well as the historic town of Steilacoom w/ beaches & ferries to Anderson & Vashon islands. Ranger's Hideout at Whitman Lake, Mount Rainier

Perched over Whitman Lake, escape with a cold beverage on your large deck that makes you feel "within the trees." Surrounded by old growth cedars, watch as the resident bald eagles take turns diving into the lake for their lunchtime snack. Walk down the railroad tie stairs and through our "naturally" landscaped yard to find your private dock with a kayak that is free for guests. Whitman Lake is just ~45 min south of Tacoma and ~45 min north of MRNP... a perfect home base for your adventures.

Experience a rare island adventure at "The Ostrich Nest," a beautiful beachfront home right on the beach with a stunning view, only 60 minutes from Seattle and 30 minutes from Tacoma. Your excursion begins with a short ferry ride to a small private island where the deer are so friendly they will eat out of your hand. This is a peaceful place to disconnect and relax, go for walks on the beach, take out the kayaks and paddleboard, and hang out in the hot tub with family or friends.
