Hideaway Log Cabin

Unique place has a style all its own. It is private, one year old now and hand worked by owner. NO PETS. Small 350+ sq feet. Open floorplan, no separate bedroom. Large front porch with wooden rockers. Kitchen is very small, with most everything except for oven. Has two small ponds with fish in them loaner poles and tackle in closet no license required. It's in the woods there is wildlife, stream and old growth trees to view. Park style charcoal grill in the yard. Hammock, picnic area at ponds.

Come enjoy this peaceful piece of mountain living. You will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere with neighbors hidden by the woods. You will have the entire upper level including an open loft with plenty of games, books, and toys. Nestled on Sauratown Mountain on 10 acres, Sauratown Mountain trails very close by with a view of Pilot Mountain from my very spacious deck. The "Midnight Moon" Cabin, State Road NC

Take it easy at our relaxing cabin while taking a step back in time. Located in State Road, NC, our cabin is made of 100-year-old logs by the one and only "Log Whisperer". The "Midnight Moon" is named after the black Quarter Horse "Moon" who joined his Mom in heaven in Dec. 2024. Spirit, our other black QH, remains at the cabin with his cow friends and new goat herd, who often graze the pastures surrounding our cabin. Relax by the fire or enjoy checkers on the porch, just soak it all in.

The Rock Retreat

This beautiful log cabin, previously known as Indian Creek Cabin, has been an important part of the Hanging Rock Community for many years. It began as the Hanging Rock Outdoor Center. The property is adjacent to the Indian Creek Trail area. It is within a few miles of the Lower Cascade Falls, Dan River, Moore's Spring bike trails, and of course, Hanging Rock State Park.
