The Beach Bungalow: Hike, surf & visit wineries

The country meets the sea in this laid-back, picturesque surf town. Shell Beach is halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles on California's Central Coast, which makes it the perfect stop for some wine tasting and outdoor adventure. Within walking distance there is a beach (best to visit at low tide), restaurants and coffee shops. My home is an original 1950s bungalow. Per guests requests, I made few upgrades — new windows, space heaters in every room and a dishwasher to boot!

It is a .6 mile walk from the beach. It is approx. 650 SF including a living room with sofa bed, private bedroom with queen size bed, and bathroom. Montgomery Vineyard was once part of the oldest dairy farm in San Luis Obispo County. The unique accommodations offers guests an eclectic décor of antiques and memorabilia from behind the camera in Hollywood. The views from the large, private deck are of the vineyard and the vineyard covered hills beyond. It is a lovely, relaxing place to enjoy a complimentary bottle of wine made from the grapes grown in Montgomery Vineyard. Beautiful Avila Beach is just down the road.

5 star beach cottage - steps to sand

Our cottage is a COST EFFECTIVE alternative to hotel rooms! It is single story for easy access, no common walls with a FULL kitchen. It has an outdoor yard for bbq and kids play. The cottage has one dedicated parking spot in the driveway. The parking space is limited so we are not able to accommodate oversized vehicles. Our cottage is 1/2 block to the beach and 2 1/2 blocks from the pier. It is located within walking distance of all downtown shops and restaurants.

Our condo is one of the top 10 oceanfront resorts in California. This unit overlooks the ocean, pool, Jacuzzi, bbqs and fire pit. Access to the beach is just yards away. It has a beautiful restaurant overlooking the ocean just steps below the unit. The restaurant offers pool service , room service also a full bar with live music. The resort has a gym, spa, valet parking, bikes that you can use and it is very close to many restaurants, wineries and fun events.
