Off Grid Converted Sugar Shack

This little rustic OFF GRID converted sugar shack is perfect for a quiet getaway. There are 2 solar panels that feed the lighting and water pump; limited, non-drinking water for the 2 sinks (summer only); and compostable toilet. There is no shower, no oven and no fridge. A cooler, an urn of drinking water and firewood are provided. The shack is on our 35 acre property, with our home 500ft down the lane. You will have access to our property to walk through the maple forest and wildflower meadow.

Centrally located in Renfrew, only a quick walk to main street shopping, the Renfrew Fair Grounds, and local trail systems. This ground floor, one bedroom apartment features a kitchen, separate entrance, and driveway with parking for 1 vehicle. Small two piece bathroom and small shower (similar in size to what you would find in a camping trailer) as well, all within the unit. Couch in living room also pulls out for an extra sleeping space. Self check in with keyless entry. No cleaning fee!

Private Studio, with no direct interaction with the hosts. About 15 minutes from Gatineau and 20 minutes from Ottawa by car. For an additional fee (and subject to availability), you can access the spa, sauna, and cold plunge pool. A lunchbox breakfast is included. Perfect for workers or tourists. We have 2 dogs and a cat (they do not have access to the studio). The studio is independent, yet attached to the house, and we ask visitors to maintain an appropriate noise level during their stay.

This cozy cottage is located directly on the waterfront on the Ottawa river in front of Mohr island. It's perfect for a couple or small family retreat away from the city. You can relax by the water on the deck in the hot tub, take an adventure in one of the kayak’s or enjoy a campfire while watching the stars with the supplied firewood. A canoe and two kayaks with 4 lifejackets are available for guests and are included with your rental. Unfortunatly our place is not dog friendly.

Bring the whole family/friends to this great place with lots of room for fun. Summertime the sandy beach is directly across the street from the Chalet (25 seconds) to the Ottawa River with a dock that you can sit on while enjoying the peaceful and beautiful views. A very large screen-in porch to enjoy everyday including the rainy days, you can even sleep out and enjoy the nightly sounds and breath in the fresh air. Chalet has Internet that can handle your Zoom meetings and more.

It is a great space for those needing a local place to stay or tourists wanting access to nature. We are steps away from activities such as walking, cycling, ATVing, skiing, snowmobiling can on the nearby Algonquin Trail. We are just 30 minutes from world class downhill skiing and whitewater rafting.

Beautiful Arnprior! - 1 minute off highway 417 - 2 minutes walk to the mall (with grocery stores) fast food spots - No crime neighbourhood - 20 mins to Kanata (Canadian Tire Centre) - 40 mins to downtown Ottawa - 15 minutes to Mt. Pakenham - 30 mins Calabogie Peaks. Furnished with king size bed, double bed, fold out couch and 2 cots available upon request.
