Guest can explore Grand Island or take a sunset cruise out of Munising Bay, 5 miles west of the cabin.

Plenty of FREE firewood for the firepit for relaxing around a fire in the evening under the stars. Maple Leaf is centrally located 1 hour or less to U.P. attractions. South Manistique Lake which is 2 miles north of cottage. You can access the trails from the south of cottage 300 feet on a scenic trail in the woods about 2 miles turn left or right to find the trails.

We are about 1/2 mile from Highway 2, 8 miles to Lake Michigan beaches, and within 1 hour to most Eastern U.P. attractions including Tahquamenon Falls, Lake Superior, Oswald’s Bear Ranch, Pictured Rocks, Big Springs ( Kitch-iti- Kipi) or the Mackinac Bridge and Mackinac Island. Owners live on the premises and will usually be in the area should problems arise.

Although there is only 1 proper bedroom there is a sleeping loft with a queen size bed and window overlooking the hardwood forest. We also have a pull-out couch. Guests have complete privacy and everything provided for a comfortable stay This is a cabin with peaceful relaxation in mind....no loud parties or anything of that nature. For the summertime getaway we are minutes away from 3 inland lakes with many trails to hike your worries away. Centrally located making many highlights only an hour away. Pictured Rocks, Tahquamenon Falls, Crisp Point Lighthouse and many more. We use only natural disinfectant cleaners and fragrance and dye free laundry detergents.
