Fish, canoe, swim, explore woods and lakes. Spend your time here or use as basecamp for backcountry trips. See deer, eagles, loons, moose, bear, or hear a wolf howl in the distance. LED lanterns, propane cookstoves and refrigeration, get water from lake, or nearby well. Life on the edge.

Perfect for solo adventures & couples willing to pack-in/pack-out. You are the CLEANER (you must vacuum, wipe, remove ALL food/garbage/rocks/crumbs and leave tidy!). Welcome to our fully wheelchair-accessible private suite, located on beautiful Thunder Lake. The suite boasts an ultra comfortable king sized bed, feather duvet and cotton sheets. While the suite is attached to our home, it has a private entrance/completely private, nothing is shared. We welcome guests to use our private sandy beach, which is a beautiful spot to swim, relax, and enjoy spectacular sunsets. In addition, Aaron Park is right next door with it's many trails to explore.

The Vagabond

Nestled into the forest, your stay includes a stand-alone bedroom facing into the forest with windows on all sides. Take the boardwalk to The Vagabond - a restored 1958 metal shell trailer. Custom birch interior, original windows and doors, cozy back bedroom, bright and liveable interior space. Cook in the well stocked kitchen and hang out in the screened in dining room. Feel like you're in the forest whether you’re indoors or outdoors.

Wolf Cabin at Wilderness Wind

We are asking our guests to bring their own sheets and pillow cases. Thank you for your understanding. Wolf Cabin is Wilderness Wind's smallest and most secluded cabin on the shore of Lake Armstrong. This adorable one bedroom cabin with kitchenette and kitchen table is at the end of the road and is quiet and private but has access to all the amenities of the Wilderness Wind resort.

Enjoy the beauty of northern MN in this rustic and cozy cabin right on Shagawa lake. Great fishing and close enough to town for easy access to restaurants and shops. Great walleye fishing in the bay directly in front of the cabin. Fishing boat and kayak on site. The cabin is an open concept format. The lower bedrooms require descending 2 steps. The bedrooms are separated by curtains.
