Misty Mountain Hut - Ruapehu

Misty Mountain Hut-Ruapehu is located in the sleepy little village of Rangataua, 5 minutes distance to Mountain road going up to the Turoa skifield and Ohakune. The 1 bedroom colonial villa has a beautiful view of the mountain. Unlimited wifi and a new firebox with plenty of firewood and a heat pump ensure you are warm in winter. My favourite time here is summer for amazing walks/cycling up mountains to enjoy majestic views. Misty Mountain Hut supports local staff by paying $40/hr for cleaning.

Pod 2 (Quad) - Flat Hills Cafe & Tourist Park

Escape to the heart of Rangitīkei at Flat Hills Tourist Park. Set on 17 acres of countryside, our cosy pods offer a rural retreat with comfortable beds, TV, mini fridge, tea and coffee facilities, plus access to shared amenities, kitchen, lounge, BBQ area and hot showers. Meet friendly farm animals, explore the maze, enjoy the playground and café, or simply relax and take in the views. Conveniently located on SH1 between Wellington and Taupō. Please note currently the cafe is closed on Tuesdays.

Bellview Cottage Feilding

Come make yourselves at home at our fully self-contained freshly renovated cottage with beautiful views overlooking Feilding with private off-street parking in front of cottage. With everything you need provided to make yourselves breakfast. It's a 15min walk (3 minutes by car) to the centre of Feilding where the farmers markets are held on Fridays. 7-minute drive to Manfeild Park 16-minute drive from Palmerston North airport. There is additional parking if required (please advise if needed)

Moomaa Stay

This beautiful renovated home features 4 bedrooms sleeping 9 people with an ensuite, family bathroom (with new bath), and an additional hut outside- sleeping a further 3 people. Opened in 2022, DuxHouse BnB is conveniently located in Taihape's Motel District on SH1. We are centrally located in the beautiful Rangitikei in the Central North Island. Tongariro NP (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) is just over 45 mins away. Perfect for hiking in summer, or snow fun in winter. Central towns, such as Whanganui and Palmerston North are just over an hour away. Further afield are Napier (2hrs), Taupo (2 hrs), and Wellington (3hrs) making Taihape the perfect central pitstop.

The Historic Shearers Quarters are located 11 kms from SH1, on a working farm that has remained in the family for four generations. We are based in the beautiful Kawhatau Valley. A unique accommodation in the heart of the Rangitikei. Light the old shacklock stove, sit back and enjoy peace and quiet- all while only 10 mins from the superb Dukes Roadhouse Cafe. Please note this is a Historic Shearer's Quarters. If you have mobility issues please be aware there are no ramps and only steps.
