Relax in this tranquil mountain get away surrounded by nature. It is secluded in the woods yet close to many amenities. It’s 15 mins from the I75 exit in Berea KY and less than an hour south of Lexington KY. Places of interest like the Berea College Campus, Owsley Fork Lake, the Indian Fort “ Pinnacles” Hiking Trails and Anglin Falls are 10 minutes away. It’s a 30 minute drive to Renfro Valley and 75 minutes to the countless trails in Red River Gorge and Cumberland Falls State Resort Park.

Catfish Cottage on Wood Creek

The Cottage sits on a hill above Wood Creek Lake with a short trail down to the lake w/trailer parking down there. This cottage sleeps 6 if you use the sofa bed. There is parking for 2 vehicles near the cottage. There is a full kitchen with appliances including a DW and a laundry area. There are 2 other similar cottages nearby so, if there is availability, we can accommodate up to 18 people. Wood Creek Lake is a beautiful fishing lake with fairly calm waters so that you can enjoy kayaking.

We welcome you to the Johnetta Schoolhouse Inn in beautiful Climax Ky. Our schoolhouse was built and 1928 and is a historical landmark.
