Hands down my favorite vegan sandwich is the Cool Summer Sammach (do yourself a favor and add the Facon). It's geared towards veggie heads but does have some egg dishes also. It's a corky place that can have a bit of a wait at times, but for me it's worth it.

I personally worked at the corporate office so can really attest to the quality of the products they purchase to serve you. Everything is good and if you want to make changes they are very accommodating. (heads up..the only con to this place is how loud the music is. Avoid sitting in the hubcap room if possible.)

These peeps just do tacos really well. This would be a great option if there's a time crunch or saving a little money. I also just go here when I have time and don't worry about cost...I just like their food. There's always a special featured taco to ask about too. I love the Independant and Mr. Pink is a close second.

I also just go here when I have time and don't worry about cost...I just like their food. There's always a special featured taco to ask about too. I love the Independant and Mr. Pink is a close second.
If it's raining check out any Alamo Drafthouse. They serve great food and local beers while you watch you flick.

It's great to take a picnic, volleyball, and a blanket to hangout on the Great Lawn (it's the huge grassy field where the volleyball courts are).

Special to Austin, a spring fed pool (can be refreshing or cold to some). You can bring snacks but no alcohol. Bring a towel or blanket and spend the afternoon swimming, wading, or just catching some sun.
