This place is one of the most iconic restaurants/cafes of Athens, built in the 40's and recently fantastically renovated but still retains the culture of the era. Although quite expensive, it has very nice food, good coffee, and an exceptional bar.

Underdog is an amazing place, great for breakfast/brunch and has excellent coffee. Furthermore it's fantastic if you want some shade from the Athens sun or a nice back garden to enjoy your coffee and work on the laptop (it has plugs everywhere and fairly decent wifi).

This is the building of the Greek parliament, that you will find outside the traditional Greek soldiers called "tsolias" ("tsoliades" in plural), that stand unmoving guarding the parliament. There is also there the tomb of the unknown soldier, which is a dedication to all the men & women that have fallen in battle that we don't know of.

This is another fantastic secret little spot in the centre of Athens. It's hidden inside an old courtyard of a traditional Greek home. Outside you can hardly notice it and the road looks a bit dodgy, but don't be scared. When you find the door with the TAF sign outside, just push inside and you will be surprised at what you will find; after all this is the beauty of Athens.

When you find the door with the TAF sign outside, just push inside and you will be surprised at what you will find; after all this is the beauty of Athens.
Another cool bar with a cool crowd and nice music. The gin-tonics there are quite good. Very nicely prepared.
