This beach is only 14 minutes away. Take 26th St W up to Cortez and head west, this takes you straight to the beach. From there, you'll be close to numerous other beaches, i.e. Coquina Beach, Longboat Key, Holmes Beach, and Anna Maria Island.

This beach is only 14 minutes away. Take 26th St W up to Cortez and head west, this takes you straight to the beach. From there, you'll be close to numerous other beaches, i.e. Coquina Beach, Longboat Key, Holmes Beach, and Anna Maria Island.
Nice little preserve trail if you have little ones, definitely will see wildlife here.

A cool spot to get on a horse and ride into the water. Good area with jet ski and wave runner rentals close by. Cponies Beach Horseback rides are another option not too far also. Definitely, active beach day if this is what you fancy.
