Tour a naval battleship with the family! Nauticus is a maritime-themed science center and museum, and it's also home to the now retired Battleship Wisconsin (an actual US battleship that was used in WW II). They give military discounts, and sometimes you can find discounts online. Reservations are recommended

Beautifully maintained, spacious botanical garden. It's so nice to get lost in nature and take in all of the smells. The side trails are worth exploring if you have the time to spend. They offer a tram tour year round and boat tours in the spring/summer months. Even the kids will love it - there's a water park open in the summer, a maze, logs to climb on, butterfly exhibit, and an assortment of programs to suit any age group, and a huge sand area with tunnels and climbing structures!
