The coffeehouse at Schleifmühlgasse 16 in Vienna unites the young urban people with the older generations to treat the guests with the best traditional recipes. The idea of the intergenerational project is the following: Older ladies and gentlemen are employed on a marginal or part-time basis to earn pocket money on top of their pensions. The curious thing is that, whether it's poppy-seed cake, guglhupf, vanilla crescents or roast pork, "grandmas and grandpas" bake and cook for the young people.

The time-honored Rüdigerhof, built in Art Nouveau style in 1902, is a very special place in Vienna: the ambience is charming and quaint. Here, the Viennese sense of history is palpable in the air. The café located in the building was and still is a popular meeting place for artists and coffee house lovers. The interior, which has hardly been changed since the 1950s and 1960s, takes you on a journey back in time, and the Schanigarten is a particularly cozy place to sit under old maple trees. The Schnitzel Wiener Art, which we think is one of the best in Vienna, is also classic, crispy and delicious here and is fried in the pan in clarified butter according to old tradition.
