The 17th Century Manor House

Set in the picturesque village of Villechien within easy reach of the market towns of Mortain and Saint Hilaire Du Harcouet. This charming Manoir was built in 1743 and has been sympathetically renovated, still retaining many of the original features. The charming accommodation is available for bookings up to 4 people. A breakfast basket can be ordered and dropped in for the morning at an additional cost. Please let us know before arrival if you would like details.

Cosy, countryside location which is perfect for solo, couples, business travellers or families with children just wanting peace and tranquility. Fibre connected and working well in all areas Surrounded by fields with cows in them and wildlife passing through. BBQs, outdoor tables for eating.Plenty of parking outside each house. All bedding and towels included. Approx 35 minutes from Laval and Mayenne. 25 minutes Fougeres with it's beautiful chateau. 1 hour Rennes.

Once the village bank, it has been lovingly transformed into an intimate and quirky cottage from where you can explore the beautiful French countryside, immortalized by the famous French Artists, Pissaro and Piet. Close to the small, but vibrant market town of Lassay Les Chateaux, a visit to the 14th C chateau, and local boulangeries is essential. With the Musee de Cidre on your doorstep, there is plenty to see and do.

Above the scenic Varenne river valley, this 300-year-old stone cottage has spectacular views of the chateau above and the ancient Notre Dame church below. Complete with a private meadow garden, we are just a 5 minute walk into the medieval city of Domfront with its cafes, bars, restaurants and many a boulangerie. Rich with history, beautiful flowers and breathtaking views of the sweeping woodland valley, it is a timelessly beautiful landscape.

Discover the Mayenne countryside, the city of Fougères and its fabulous Château, Laval, Vitré, Rennes, Mont Saint Michel, Saint Malo, Granville, ... The house is surrounded by nature, quiet without any nuisance and we live in the house next door. You will have a kitchen, dining room, living room on the ground floor as well as a toilet and a bathroom. Upstairs are 4 bedrooms (2 with 160 bed and 2 with 2 beds 90), a bathroom and a toilet.
