This is a traditional Shack with modern comforts. It’s the sort of place you might remember from childhood holidays. Located right on a beautiful bay it is the perfect getaway for families or couples. Walk out the front gate and you are on the beach. Fall asleep at night to the sound of the ocean. I want guests to feel nostalgic, to say this is what we did when we were kids. To share those memories with their own kids and to make new memories together. Many of my guests return again and again!

The Stand Alone is an intimate, earthy retreat made for 2 Our cabin is a sanctuary where forest meets the sea, a quiet place for communion and reconnection with nature. Amid the salty air and birdsong, our bed looks to the trees and a deep bath with unlimited hot water. Humble living in luxury, the wood stove keeps things cozy and Belgian cushions are perfect for sprawling out in the evenings. Located in sleepy Lufra Cove, a magical corner of Eaglehawk Neck. Set amongst native gum and banksia the cabin overlooks the clear waters of little Norfolk Bay. Externally blending in with its environment and internally featuring detailed timberwork using Tasmanian Oak giving a natural feel. The space is cozy and comfortable with ample ammenities, attentive hosts and a unique and detailed guest book. Perfect for a little get away to relax or as a base to explore Southern Tasmania.

Our 2 story house is nestled in a private bushy street, with amazing views of the Derwent River, South Hobart, Sandy Bay & beyond. The home is spacious and private, yet surrounded by (harmless) local wildlife. You will see many wallabies grazing on the property.

Relaxing dog-friendly rural retreat

Prospect@Premaydena is situated on a quiet rural road, surrounded by farmland and bush. It is 5 minutes drive from the nearest little township, Nubeena, and provides a perfect base for exploring all that the Tasman Peninsula has to offer. The house yard is well-fenced and secure and well-behaved dogs are welcome, but not any other pets. (Note: there is further information below regarding bringing your dog(s). Please read it before making your booking.)

Using the shack as your base, no matter which direction you choose to venture, there’s an array of experiences and activities to explore, 20 min to Hobart Airport, 40 min to Hobart, gateway to Richmond, East Coast, Port Arthur and the Tasman Peninsula. Come drift for a while.

Aerie Retreat

AERIE retreat. A private designer apartment in the bush by the water. Walk down to the very private Wilderness Deck for exclusive use of the Timber Hot Tub, Sauna and fire pit. Access to the waterfront marine reserve is also exclusively available for our guests. A brilliant spot to stay summer or winter. Watch the winter full moon rise over the ocean from the hot tub and sauna.
