Den populære Hauklandstranda ligger ca 15 minutter fra rorbua. Leknes by, flyplass og hurtigruten i kort avstand til rorbua. Ønsker du å prøve lykken i den fiskerike Vestfjorden, er leie av båt mulig. I månedene jan-april pågår det kjente Lofotfisket, og du kan oppleve dette fisket på Ballstad, som er et av Lofotens største og livskraftige fiskevær.

Rorbuen er bygget i 1890 men er moderniseret til nutidens standard og men en pæn beliggende i den lille hyggelige fiskelandsby Tind. Kort afstand til Å og Sørvågen med mange muligheder for fjeldturer og fisketurer.
