Grandma's House is in the heart of the Black Hills, located 1 mile from Hill City, it is minutes away from Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park and more. It sits alone on the edge of a meadow with hills directly behind it and a small, bubbly creek in front of the house. Our space started as my husbands "man cave." A place to display his hunting accomplishments and do all things manly. Yet, as the project progressed it turned into a lovely rustic lodge that we'd like to share with you. Just 5 miles North of Sturgis we provide a space that is minutes away from Bear Butte State park, the beautiful Black Hills and sits on a quiet valley acreage. Tucked away in the Black Hills of South Dakota, Big Elk Cabin is located just 5 miles from the quaint town of Nemo and less than 14 miles from Sturgis. This is the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway with friends, family or a romantic weekend. Discounts are possible for longer stays. Airbnb only has a way to discount stays for the whole year, and there are some weeks I don't want to discount so I have to consider it on a case by case basis.

This is the LOWER UNIT of our home and was totally refinished in Aug. 2022. We are only 23 miles from Mt. Rushmore, 32 miles from Sturgis, 46 miles to Deadwood and 23 miles from Pactola Lake. Enjoy the beauty of the Black Hills and come back and relax in the 4 person Hot tub.
