Beautiful cabin with unique view

A new, beautiful cabin with incredible view over Eyjafjörður and Akureyri. The cabin is situated aproximately a ten minutes drive from the town of Akureyri, the capital of the north of Iceland. Two bedrooms with double beds, both queen size, and a sleeping loft with another double bed, queen size as well. Additionally there is a sleeping sofa in the living room, so in all the cabin can accommodate up to eight people, although that might be a bit tight. There is a fully equipped kitchen, a great dining area and a beautiful living room with the sleeping sofa. Also, a very nice bathroom with shower. Outside you will find a big veranda with an outdoor jacuzzi (icelandic style !) and the most incredible view. Perfectly located for traveling around the north of beautiful Iceland. The cabin is also very close to Iceland's best skiing facilities in the winter, as Akureyri is Iceland's finest ski resort. In Akureyri you can find all sorts of attractions like one of Iceland's finest swimming pools, art galleries, restaurants, cinemas, museums and so on. The most popular tourist attractions on the northern side of Iceland like Lake Mývatn and Dettifoss are quite close by. Mývatn 1 hour and Dettifoss less than 2 hours by car.

Cozy cabin at our farm!

Vallakot Farm Guesthouse is a small guesthouse, located in Northeast Iceland in the middle of the Diamond circle. It is situated in a green and peaceful valley called Reykjadalur and the village Laugar is only a few kilometers away with a restaurant, grocery shop, a swimming pool and other amenities. Vallakot Farm is both a farm and a guesthouse and a place that has been in the family for decades. We have three studio apartments built in 2017 and a cabin that we finished renovate in June 2023.

Our one bedroom cottage cuddled into nature in Húsavík suburb with a breathtaking view serves as a tiny home, away from home where you have a lot of privacy and comfort in as close proximity to the spirit of nature as possible. The location is extraordinary as it has breathtaking view, abundant bird-life, spectacular nature and wildlife, country comfort and urban activities and service in town. Walking paths are along the lakes and to surrounding places. Minimum rental is 2 nights.

We are located 20km from Akureyri, so this cabin is the perfect location for those seeking peace and quiet, nature, northern lights or just a great base on the Arctic Coastway.

The cabin is located in Vaðlaheiði the exclusive residence area of Akureyri. This location offers you a quiet atmosphere and a touch of nature. You will have a view of the bay and Akureyri . In the wintertime, you can enjoy the aurora Borealis, and in the summer time the midnight sun. Akureyri is just 10 minutes drive away. There is easy access not only to the center of Akureyri but also to all the interesting sites surrounding it.
