Another fortress from the discovery time! Unfortunately it's closed due erosion on the cliff's affecting the chapel, but it's a place you need to go, check the views to Sagres. A most do, it's the path sculpted on the cliff on the way to the water. Yes here you can do down the 35m high of the cliffs in SAFE!

This fortress is not open to visit because its in risk to ruin but it's a beautiful spot.

Built in 1632 on the site of an older fortress, Fortaleza do Beliche is 4.8km northwest of the town centre, and 1.2km southeast of the lighthouse at Cabo de São Vicente
