The fully renovated railcar and caboose are connected by a large back patio that boasts one of the most spectacular views in Taylor County. The railcar is the larger of the two and has a king size bed, walk in shower, full kitchen, and living area. Built in 1945 our home is a craftsman cottage style home is located in Abilene's Old Elmwood neighborhood. Our home is fully furnished with a comfortable style to make you feel like you are at home. Our home is 5 minutes away from McMurry University and 10- 15 minute drive to ACU, and Hardin-Simmons University. It’s very close to the Abilene state park, the historic village, Beltway Park Church, Wylie and Jim Ned Schools, and the world famous Perini Steakhouse. It is about 20 minutes from ACU or HSU. The property and surrounding area is great for walks and there is a Dollar General close by.

Michael is retired from City of Abilene and I am a partially retired RN of 34 years. Michael has owned this 1931 Craftsman style home since the late 1970s. We are lifelong Abilenians and live within a few minutes drive. Mike and I take great care to make your stay as welcoming and comfortable as possible. The home isn’t fussy so relax and make yourselves at home!
