Enjoy this charming 2 bedroom cabin on Cable Lake in Spooner, Wisconsin. In the early 1930’s, an old boxcar was skidded across the frozen Cable Lake and became a cozy little cabin. Today, tucked beneath a stand of mature Norway pines, it is a great place to enjoy the solitude and beauty of northern Wisconsin. The large front deck sits right on the waters edge and is a perfect place to relax, watch the loons, bald eagles & sunsets or plan your fishing strategy. Lovely place for up to 4 people.

The Stumble Inn motel suite resides in the quaint little town of Stone Lake, WI. Stroll around town to enjoy our local shops, restaurants and parks. A short drive in any direction leads you to one of our many area lakes for your boating and fishing pleasure. Hiking, biking, snowmobile and ATV trails are just outside our door! The Knotty Pine Loft is the upper level (700 sf) of our garage/guest building. Up a flight of stairs you'll find a pine paneled kitchen & living room, private bedroom, and 3/4 bath. Loft windows overlook the pine-oak woods, a tamarack marsh, and 300 yds away is Spooner Lake . Note: The Knotty Pine Loft was named the Lakeview Loft, but after a windstorm downed a number of big trees, new birch and red oak treeshave grown up and lessened the view of the lake. The view returns in the winter!

Welcome to Hunt Hill Nature Center! We are a public, non-profit learning center and nature sanctuary. Our historic Log Cabin is nearly a century old and offers a peaceful retreat in the woods. All the furniture was updated in 2018. The Log Cabin is located just outside of the main camp, settled on top of a hill overlooking pristine forest habitat. Nearby towns offer additional entertainment or relax in our quiet setting while reading a good book in front of the stone fireplace.
