Come tour American History, hike the Appalachian Trail, bike the C&O Canal, see nature's wonders, and access Washington DC by commuter rail.

A private room in a large house on 13 acres. We are located on a well maintained, paved, narrow country road in a beautiful rural setting. We have two rooms on the second floor that we rent through airbnb. Queen bed, twin bed and full private bath in room. Air bed (EZ Bed on frame) available with additional fee ($10). The Greenbrier River Trail is 2 miles away by car or bicycle, downtown Lewisburg is about 14 miles away, The Greenbrier Resort is 25.6 miles or approximately 33 minutes away.

This large suite has a king size bed, ten foot ceilings, jacuzzi tub and separate shower. This spacious suite will allow you lots of room to spread out and relax. When the building served as a tavern and inn from the 1790s this room was used as the public section for sleeping quarters, with eight or more people sleeping in the room. It was also rumored to have been used for dancing. The original heart pine floors have been preserved and numerous architectural details are showcased as well.

River House Lodge M&K Suite

This stylish and unique place sets the stage for a memorable trip. Nestled in a horseshoe bend in Cheat River, this historic town was once a great rail center on the old Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. A local banker and merchant built the house in the golden steam era. It features many of its original turn-of-the-century Victoria features, including oak woodwork, high ceilings, Chestnut flooring, and a wide stairway to the second level. This is the most popular suite at the Lodge.

House is perfectly located for your adventuring visit to the New River Gorge! *New 6-7-23 Each room has individual key lock so you can lock while in or out. Key will be in room.
