The Tack Store is a new barn conversion on our small farm outside the village of Silkstone. Views are some of the best in South Yorkshire, overlooking rolling hills and woodland, it's a perfect escape for those who love peace, quiet & walking. Equally we are only 1.5m from the M1 for guests wanting a more varied experience. We are child and pet friendly. We have tried really hard to create a relaxing home away from home. Close to Hebden Bridge and Heptonstall, there are beautiful walks and cycle rides from the doorstep, which is 800m from the Pennine Bridleway. There is a wood burning stove (we provide a starter pack of logs) and well-behaved dogs are welcome. A king-sized bed in the bedroom and a double sofa bed in the lounge make this the perfect venue for couples, friends or parents and child!

Converted from a lovely old barn, you will feel right at home in bright and welcoming Star Barn. Outside there is an enclosed garden and through the garden gate is the Sauna & Cold Plunge. It’s a peaceful private spot in the centre of this small historic village which boasts two pubs, a deli and a village shop. We welcome pets too, so you can enjoy some fabulous local dog walks. A rarity in this cobbled street village - there is parking right next to the barn.
