Bring your own horse to stay in a covered yard for $35 per horse per night. This includes the use of a 60 x 40-metre arena & lake & trail access.

This stand alone property has it all, separate from the main house it has a private entrance and backs on to a reserve with river walks summer and winter . The bedroom is closed off to the large lounge with polished concrete floors . The French doors open to the pool and rear pocket lawn. You will have the use of the pool ( shared in summer)and a spa The kitchenette has a Microwave, tea and plunger coffee fridge and freezer . The bathroom is of a good size and has a walk-in shower and toilet

Our place is self, contained ,separate from the main house. 2 bedrooms are upstairs access 2nd bedroom through first. Milk, tea coffee with facilities to cook meals . Bench oven cooktop, two element cooker, refrigerator , toaster , tv. One hour to Rotorua or Tauranga, less than 30 mins to Rotorua lakes or Whakatane for sea fishing. 15 mins drive to Kawerau.Room for your boat , wash down bay for boats or motorbikes. Pet friendly. Homestay is behind our house so drive around to park there.

Sandy Feet Retreat by the beach with breakfast

Welcome! Your studio has private access downstairs in a newly built home just a few steps to the water's edge. Unpack, kick off your shoes, stroll to the beach, dip your feet in the water, breathe in the salty air while listening to the waves. Enjoy your beautifully appointed kitchenette, dine indoors or outside and relax. Breakfast ingredients are provided. There is no TV but unlimited internet access, some games and bring a book. Sleep soundly in the comfy queen bed with linen sheeting.

A kitchenette with some cooking appliances (Electric Fry pan, Air fryer, Microwave, and more) together with a fridge/freezer make this studio an ideal location for a self-contained visit in an ideal location for a relaxing break.

Our place is ideal for couples and business travelers. You have your own private entrance and parking. We have built this modern home to be separated into two apartments divided by privacy doors. The Apartment has many features that will delight you. In the winter the log fire keeps the place warm and cosy.

The Observatory, Semi Self-Contained Unit

We welcome you to our home, which has views of the ocean and farmland. The guest area is located on the ground floor. Only a 10 minute stroll into the township of Whakatane, and five minute drive to Ohope Beach, voted one of the safest surf beaches in NZ. The entrance to the famous Nga Tapuwai O Toi walking track is only 2 minutes from our home. If you are into astronomy, the Whakatane Observatory is steps away from our property, open to the public Tuesday and Friday evenings.

Mountain View Retreat

3 bedroom house with fibre, in central Kawerau location, overlooking river reserve and mountain. 1 km from town centre and supermarket. Dairy and resthome a short walk away. Gateway to the Tarawera Forest and the Tarawera Falls - permit required - only available on weekends. A short walk to the Tarawera River. Kawerau is 20 minutes drive to Lake Rotoma, 30 minutes to Whakatane, and about an hour's drive to Rotorua, Tauranga and Opotiki for sightseeing or outdoor activities.

My place is close to beaches, bush and the famous Motu cycle way. You’ll love my place because of the friendly welcome, the little extras AND the comfy bed!! Only 2 hours driving from either Tauranga, Rotorua or Gisborne - a good resting point. Lovely quiet cottage set on lifestyle block with many chickens and sheep. 3 minutes driving to fabulous Waiotahi beach and only 10 minutes into Opotiki for cafes and shopping. Peace and tranquility - leave the city behind.
